How we decide where it goes
We work down this list on every load — landfill only ever comes last.
Donate
Furniture, appliances, and goods still in usable condition go to local donation centers.
Recycle
Metal, electronics, cardboard, and other recyclables are separated and taken to certified facilities.
Compost
Yard waste and other organic material is composted whenever the load allows.
Dispose
Only what’s left after donation, recycling, and composting is taken to the landfill.

Does sorting cost extra or slow down pickup?
No. Pickup works the same either way — our crew clears your space quickly. Sorting happens afterward, back at the yard, at no extra cost to you.
Where do donated items actually go?
We work with local donation centers around Lincoln so usable furniture, appliances, and goods find a second home instead of the landfill.
What can’t be recycled or donated?
Heavily damaged or contaminated items, and certain electronics or materials that require special handling, typically can’t be donated or recycled. Those are disposed of properly as a last resort.
Do you take hazardous materials?
We don’t take paint, chemicals, asbestos, or certain refrigerant-containing electronics. Tell us what you have and we’ll point you to the right disposal option.
Can I request everything just go to the landfill for speed?
We sort every load as standard practice — it’s part of how we operate, not an optional add-on. It doesn’t add time or cost to your pickup.
